Judges will be in Baldwin next week as the town competes for the State Cleanest City title.
Baldwin won its seventh title in district competition in category B last week over the town of Gueydan. The town has claimed four state titles in the past.
The judges will be in Baldwin about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, and will tally the scorecards after lunch.
Residents are asked to mow and trim for the judging, particularly around fences and posts. Trash cans should be hidden from view, and anyone with American flags is asked to display them.
Competition for the state title Baldwin faces are Brusly, Bunkie, Delhi, Iowa and Jean Lafitte.
The Baldwin Beautification Club is sponsored by the Franklin Garden Club in the contest.
